Selection in an Uncertain World

See the new report in the right sidebar with useful insight for both applicants and hiring managers. Applicants get a feel for what they need to consider to get through the gate. Managers get to expand or evaluate their inventory of decision points. In this highly subjective arena of employee selection, one thing is certain: making the right decision is tricky at the best of times! On both sides, a more transparent approach is the best approach. Either side can always pull the plug if necessary–although this is not the preferred outcome, then you’re only back to square one. So to minimize that, remove obstacles from the process and decide early what are the core needs required from one side, and the core strengths to be delivered, from the other. Both need to be realistic and they need to match. Good luck!
